Travel along the Camino Mozarabe and Rua de la Plata in southern Spain
Travel with us along the Camino Mozarabe and Rua de la Plata in southern Spain. The focus of this tour is more on history and culture than long distance walking.
In April-May 2019 we offer a 15 day bus tour commencing in the southern Spanish province of Andalucia then travel westward into Portugal. We spend extended time in the medieval jewelled cities of Granada and Seville and visit other significant historic cities such as Cordoba, Ronda and Cadiz. In Portugal we enjoy the atmospheric Arab influenced architecture of small coastal towns before heading north to explore the Roman archaeological sites of Evora.
Our onward journey takes us to Lisbon said to be one of the most vibrant cities in Western Europe; the attractive small city of Coimbra, home to one of the world’s oldest universities; and the world heritage listed city of Oporto with the neighbouring wine growing region of the Douro Valley. Itinerary will be posted by July 2018.
Some previous tours along the Camino Mozarbe have included travel along the Rua del la Plata. To see photos of our June 2017 tour visit our Travel blog: And now for something different!
