During our final Tour for 2014 we have been fortunate to have experienced beautiful days of sunshine and mild evenings. Once we were taken by surprise by a one-minute-thunderstorm!

In Porto, as well as sightseeing and enjoying a boat trip down the Rio, we visited the bookshop that inspired J.K. Rowling to write the first Harry Potter book.

One of the nicest things about walking the Camino Portuguese is seeing local farmers and villagers going about their daily lives.  It is grape harvest season here in Northern Portugal and Spain.  Two days ago some pickers surprised us with a lovely bunch of grapes.

In Vila do Conde, some members of our group chose to dip their toes in the Atlantic Ocean whilst others visited the lace museum or took a well-earned siesta. On our way to dinner that night we were distracted by a glorious sunset and a double rainbow over the river.
