Interest in Travel Enriched Tours along the Camino Portugues is rapidly growing! Tour R, which also incorporates a few days on the Finisterre Peninsula, is now fully booked! In order to meet the demand of those who want to travel in the European Autumn we have designed a second, similar September tour. To view this new itinerary select Tour T 2014. Participant numbers for our April tour (Tour N) are also on the rise! There are still a few places left for those who would prefer to visit Portugal and Spain in the spring to take advantage of the milder weather when the wild flowers are in full bloom and the vineyards have fresh new growth.
The two itineraries (Tours P and S 2014) that combine an historical journey along the Camino Mozarabe (in Andalusia) and the Rua de la Plata (the ancient northward bound Roman road) with the Camino Portuguese are attracting quite a bit of interest. This tour will appeal to those who would like to learn more about the time when Muslims, Jews and Christians lived together harmoniously and created a peaceful and vibrant civilisation. Equally, if you are fascinated by the magnificent Islamic architecture and white villages of southern Spain and like exploring archaeological remains in former Roman settlements you will not be disappointed! The opportunity to combine this historical focus with four days of long distance walking on the Camino Portuguese is an added bonus that is not offered in tours conducted by other tour operators.
Watch out too for other new itineraries, including some to South America and Cuba that will be offered in 2015 and 2016. These should be posted in the coming months!
